LOVESTRUCK SUCKERS IS BORN! (Posted 12.3.11)
Silas' latest project, Lovestruck Suckers, will perform their first show at The Grey Eagle on Jan 19th. With Silas on vocals and guitar, supported by a soulful string trio, Lovestruck Suckers creates a unique and beautiful musical experience. Silas is joined by members of Opal String Quartet, Amy Lovinger (violin), Kara Poorbaugh (viola), and Franklin Keel (cello). The one and only Holiday Childress opens the show!

SOULGRASS REBELLION VIRGIN ISLANDS TOUR (Posted 4.15.11)
Soulgrass Rebellion will return to the US Virgin Islands for six shows between April 20th and 25th. The Get Right Band, a Soulgrass side project including Silas, Jesse Gentry, and Chris Pyle, will play the USVI the following week. For more info, go to Soulgrass Rebellion's website.

On February 12, 2011, Silas Durocher and Everybody Knows and the Sarasota Orchestra will perform the world premiere of Silas' latest composition. The rocking, funky orchestral piece is written for 2 flutes, 2 oboes, bass clarinet, 2 bassoons, 4 french horns, 3 trumpets, 2 trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani, percussion, clarinet soloist, cello soloist, electric guitar soloist, upright bass soloist, drum set soloist, violins I, violins II, violas, cellos, and basses.
